The general jurisdiction of High Court of England is provided in Section 19 of the Senior Courts Act, 1981.

The Admiralty jurisdiction of High Court is however given in Section 20 of the Act and the mode of exercise of admiralty jurisdiction.

Section 21(4) refers to the in rem actions.
