Mamta Sharma v CBSE Case Heard on 21 June 2021
On 21 June 2021, in Mamta Sharma v CBSE in WP(Civil) 522/2021, Hon'ble Supreme Court had heard the writ petition.
When a Senior Advocate had argued that the other writ petitions against "Boards" are not listed, then Hon'ble Supreme Court had noted that "it is appropriate that those writ petitions are heard tomorrow, i.e., 22nd June, 2021 along with this matter at 2.00 p.m."
This case also shows that a petitioner can appear in person before Hon'ble Supreme Court because in this case, the petitioner had appeared in person [as noted in the Order].
It is relevant to note that Shri N.V. Ramana is the present Chief Justice of India and Hon'ble Supreme Court can exercise writ jurisdiction under A.32 of Constitution of India whereas Hon'ble High Courts can exercise writ jurisdiction under A.226 of Constitution of India.
