Income Tax Department's Action Against "Cabinet Minister" : Matter Listed on 26 July 2021

Income-tax Act, 1961 is a detailed Act.

Before Hon'ble Gauhati High Court, a petition regarding income tax department's action allegedly targeting a Cabinet Minister is likely to be listed on 26 July 2021. "According to the petitioner, no incriminating material was seized during the search and seizure". Stay was granted earlier in this matter by Hon'ble High Court. 

This matter was listed before a Judge who was later on elevated to the Hon'ble Supreme Court.  The petitioner was represented by perhaps the best Tax Advocates of Gauhati. 

When this matter was listed earlier, the Income Tax Department was represented by an Advocate who has now become an Hon'ble Judge of same High Court.
