Indian Penal Code, 1860 prescribes the offence of rape.
Recently, in Mehedi Alom v State of Assam [2021] GCtR 3002 (Gauhati), a person who has been accused of offences u/s 343/376/34 IPC R/w Sec. 4 of POCSO Act, 2012 has been granted bail.
