Often cases are filed under Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
This Act is quite old.
It has been commented at page 7 of Anjali v Lokendra Rathod [2022] GCtR 1630 (SC) thus :
"The provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (for short, “MV Act”) gives paramount importance to the concept of ‘just and fair’ compensation."
