Short Points 

Goodwill of the partnership firm is also property of firm under S. 14 of Partnership Act, 1932. Section 16 (b) of Partnership Act says what will happen if a partner does a competing business of same nature. What cannot be done by partner of a firm under implied authority is given in S. 19 (2) of the Partnership Act, 1932. 

Adoption : S. 9 (1) of HAMA, 1956 permits even a guardian of a child to give child in adoption. S.18 (1) of HAMA, 1956 confers right on a Hindu wife to be maintained by her husband till her life time. 

Photo : S. 32A of Registration Act, 1908 requires affixing passport size photograph and fingerprints. It should be noted that "any other benefit to arise out of land" is also included in definition of immovable property under S. 2(6) of Registration Act, 1908. S.20 (2) of Registration Act, 1908 requires registering officer to note in the register regarding alteration in a document.
