Effect of Criminal Proceedings on Selection in Government Job

Effect of Criminal Proceedings on Selection in Government Job

One cannot say that merely because a person was involved in a criminal case then he will not be appointed in a government job. Case Citation [2010] GCtR 3096 makes it clear that if government authorities refuse to appoint a person after his selection in the government job because he was earlier involved in a criminal case, then such action of government employer has to be quashed and set aside and the candidate can secure his employment through legal proceedings.
