"Power and the discretion under Section 156(3) of Code, 1973 has to be exercised judiciously and after application of mind, and not arbitrarily, by the Magistrate. Section 156(3) of Code, 1973 in the statute, does not specifically mention any requirement of recording detailed reasons before directing registration of an FIR." - Harsh Consul v.
