Service Law, Disciplinary Action and Government Employees

In the case of Krishna Prasad Verma v. State of Bihar [2019] GCtR 6274 (SC), the disciplinary action taken against the government employee was quashed and costs was also imposed on his employer. It was held that every negligence cannot be treated as misconduct. Further, taking action in haste also cannot be considered as misconduct. Entire disciplinary action was quashed.
