Cheque Dishonour and Unacceptable Defences

In case of Shree Daneshwari Traders v. Sanjay Jain [2019] GCtR 6347 (SC) dealing with a case of S.138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 it was held that  "the defence of the respondent that though he made payment for the commodities/rice bags, the blank cheques were not returned by the appellant-complainant is quite unbelievable and unacceptable."
