Criminal Proceedings Against Investigating Officials
In case of Vinod Kumar Pandey v. Seesh Ram [2025] GCtR 1511 (SC), criminal proceedings against then Jt. Director of CBI was directed to continue and the plea that criminal proceedings against senior officers would not continue has been rejected. Further, impleadment of government department to which officers belong is not necessary and government officers/employees have to defend themselves on their own.
