Factors that Affect Compensation under MV Act, 1988

In case of Manorma Sinha v. OICL [2025] GCtR 1604 (SC), Apex Court has set aside the Order of HC. HC had reduced the compensation amount. It was held that "High Court erred in excluding the allowances from the computation". 

In this case insurance company did not settled the case in Lok Adalat. Now, insurance company's employees will have to pay interest amount of more than Rs. 40 lacs in addition to principal compensation amount.
