Wage Revision, Pay Parity and the Legal Principles
In case of VVF Ltd Employees Union v. VVF Ltd [2024] GCtR 3452 (SC), the issue was related to law around wage revision. Tribunal granted relief to the employees represented by Union. Union has raised the argument of pay parity with other entities. Test applied was "prevailing pay and other allowances should be compared with equally placed or similarly situated industrial units".
