Even if the public servant had not taken any bribe or any other financial benefit for himself, cases for criminal offence under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 will continue if there is a wrongful loss to the government entity. The High Court exercising its jurisdiction u/s 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 cannot indulge in micro managing the decisions taken by trial Courts at every stage. Refer S. Kannan v.
