Legal Validity of Bar Association's Elections Examined by High Court
In a recent judgment where issue was related to validity of NDBA elections of New Delhi Bar Association of Patiala House Courts, it was held that the
elections of the NDBA are purely elections of individual lawyers/members
of NDBA, wherein, these individual lawyers/members contested as well as
cast their votes and the election process of NDBA or the
results declared thereof, are not connected to the functions of any State,
government or authority under the law.
