Property and Real Estate : Law on Self - Acquired Property and HUF Property in India
In one of the Judgment, Division Bench of Hon'ble Delhi HC has held that "inheritance by a person of a property from his parental ancestors after the year 1956 results in inheritance as a self-acquired property and not as an HUF property." It was found in this case that property is not an HUF property ; Order 7 Rule 11 and Order 12 Rule 6 were applied.
