EVMs : After Polling, Attempt to "Take Away EVMs alleged" : Anticipatory Bail Granted

Crime During Elections (alleged) : Application by Accused Allowed

In a recent Judgment where allegedly "after completion of polling of votes" a person "was escorting the election officials along with electronic voting machine, on their way" "accused persons along with other" other "named accused persons restrained, rebuked and assaulted them and tried to take away the electronic voting machines", Hon'ble District Court situated in State of Assam had allowed the application under S.438 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
