Female Judges in Meghalaya High Court
Hon'ble Meghalaya High Court came into being w.e.f. 23rd March, 2013 [Official sources].
As on 22 June 2021, there is 1 Chief Justice and 3 Hon'ble Judges of Hon'ble Meghalaya High Court. All of them are male and none of them is female. Since 23 March 2013, there has been 1 female Chief Justice of the said High Court.
When we see this position with the position at Hon'ble Supreme Court of India [SCI], we see that there is 1 female Judge at SCI. Therefore, the representation of women Judges is greater in SCI than at Meghalaya HC.
Since 23 March 2013, there has been a total of 9 CJs out of which 1 CJ was female.
Since 23 March 2013, there have been (9 CJs + 6 Judges) out of which only 1 has been female. The current Advocate General of State of Meghalaya [who was designated as Senior Advocate by Hon'ble Meghalaya High Court in 2021, but certain websites wrote him as Senior Advocate before he was designated as Senior Advocate (said link seems to be removed as on 22 June 2021)] is a male.
It is a fact that India does not have a woman CJI. It is also a fact that there has been no women CJI in India since 1950. Further, the current Chief Justice of Hon'ble Delhi High Court is not a female.
Further, there have been total of 33 CJs of Hon'ble Gauhati High Court and none of them have been a women.
