On RTI : Recent View of HC of March 2023
Hon'ble Delhi High Court has passed an interesting judgment on 13 March 2023.
In context of RTI Act, 2005 it has been commented at page 18 and 23 of A S Rawat v Dawa Tashi [2023] GCtR 553 (Delhi) thus : -
"Applicability of the RTI Act should not be restricted to citizens but should cover non- citizens as well".
"To put an absolute bar, would be contrary to the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India which recognizes some rights of even non-citizens."
