In case of University of Delhi v. Neeraj [2025] GCtR 1449 (Delhi) while dealing with a case of RTI Act, 2005 it was held that where the information sought concerns exposure of wrongdoing in the discharge of official functions, financial impropriety, inefficiency and/or has a bearing on the very eligibility (as prescribed under law) for holding a particular office then public interest considerations would prevail.
