Applicability of Limitation Act, 1963 in cases under Recovery of Debts due to Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 1993

It has been held in Indian Bank v. Manilal Govindji Khona [2015] GCtR 6427 (SC) that "the provisions of the Limitation Act, 1963 are applicable to the proceedings of the DRT in view of Section 24 of the RDDBFI Act, 1993 and therefore, the provisions of Section 5 of the Limitation Act are applicable to the provisions of the said Act."
