Extent of Power of Court in Criminal Proceedings

In case of State of Rajasthan v. Parmeshwar Ramlal Joshi [2025] GCtR 1602 (SC), dealing with a case involving allegations under S.420 of IPC, 1860, it was held that "a criminal Court has no power to recall or review its own judgment. The only permissible action is to correct or rectify clerical errors by virtue of Section 403 BNSS, 2023 [Section 362 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973]."
