Property and Real Estate : Rights of a Tenant of a Property

In the case of Hari Gopal Manu v. B.S. Ojha [2016] GCtR 1822 (Delhi) it has been held that a tenant continues to remain so unless there is a change in status by contract or operation of law. It has been consistently held that a tenant or licensee cannot alter the character of their possession without the consent of the landlord.

Ultimately, the appeal of tenant was dismissed.
